What is an AI Callbot?

An AI callbot is an automated system, like a Virtual Receptionist or AI Customer Support Agent, that uses an AI system to make and answer phone calls. These systems use sophisticated computer systems to hold human-like conversations with callers, answer their questions, set up and change appointments, answer common questions, and do other things that are typically boring for humans to do. Unfortunately, being boring for humans also makes these types of things prone to mistakes. AI systems don't get bored, and can often provide more reliable results at lower costs,.

Why is testing important?

Testing your calbot is required to make sure it behaves the way you want it to. It needs to collect the right information from the person on the phone with it, it needs to provide correct answers to questions, and it needs to avoid providing responses that could make the company look bad or get it in legal trouble.

Sounds Complicated (but it's not!)

Testing can be as simple as selecting a test from our Tests Library, choosing your phone number to call (or be called) and clicking RUN.

The testing call will start in seconds and you can see the test results and the call transcript as it runs. You can even listen to the actual audio of the call after the test is complete for complete quality assurance.

Of course, if you want super-fine control over how the tests function, you can integrate it to a variety of automation systems, including Zapier, Make, Bland, Voiceflow, and VAPI.

What is Automated AI Callbot Testing?

Normally when callbots are created, there is A LOT of manual testing done to ensure that it works as expected. This testing involves calling the callbot (or it calls you) and then you go through the whole script of all the steps your system does, over and over again all day.

This is typically boring for developers (which leads to shortcuts and mistakes) and expensive (great developers cost $100k+) and we'd rather keep them happy and developing, not sitting on their phone listening to the AI system say the same thing for the 10th time today.

How to I run the Automated Tests?

You an run the tests by hitting the "RUN" button on our website or in the mobile app. The test should start within seconds, and display the results after it has completed.

You can also run Test Plans (a group of multiple tests) the same way.

Tests can also be automated to be run by an API call or integrated into your development process, such as integrating it into your Github CI/CD pipelines or linked to other applications by Make or Zapier automations.
